Thirty nine years ago today, the United States judicial system officially sanctioned the legal killing of multiplied millions of children. Since that day, the United States of America has smiled upon the slaughter of over 50 million babies.
The President of the United States of America today affirmed his commitment to provide a license for murder. His devotion to the practice of abortion is well-known. So his speech “honoring” the Supreme Court decision known as Roe v. Wade wasn’t something surprising. However, his speech did provide something rather surprising. President Obama succeeded in clearly articulating the sheer mindless mumbo-jumbo that passes for wisdom. I first read his words from Denny Burk and it was also reported on The Huffington Post.
As we mark the 39th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, we must remember that this Supreme Court decision not only protects a woman’s health and reproductive freedom, but also affirms a broader principle: that government should not intrude on private family matters. I remain committed to protecting a woman’s right to choose and this fundamental constitutional right.
While this is a sensitive and often divisive issue — no matter what our views, we must stay united in our determination to prevent unintended pregnancies, support pregnant woman and mothers, reduce the need for abortion, encourage healthy relationships, and promote adoption. And as we remember this historic anniversary, we must also continue our efforts to ensure that our daughters have the same rights, freedoms, and opportunities as our sons to fulfill their dreams.
Look at that last sentence once again. “[W]e must continue our efforts to ensure that our daughters have the same rights…to fulfill their dreams”. Which daughters? Which dreams? What about those millions of daughters who’ve been robbed of their right to dream because of abortion? What about those daughters whose freedoms have been squashed by the abortionists forceps?
